Reference data
House prices around the world
Where home prices are rising and falling, in 35 markets, using one consistent measure so the countries are actually comparable. We lead with the real (inflation-adjusted) change, which strips out the currency noise that makes nominal numbers misleading.
What the data shows
As of Q4 2025, across 35 markets, real house prices rose fastest in Portugal (+16.3%), Croatia (+12.0%), and Spain (+9.6%); they fell most in China (-6.3%), Canada (-5.5%), and New Zealand (-4.2%). Real change is the honest cross-country comparison: a market with high inflation can post a large nominal rise while prices barely move in real terms.
