Find a local agent
Find and compare a real estate agent in Ukraine
If you would rather hire someone to sell your home in Ukraine than do it yourself, you are looking for a realtor (ріелтор) or an agency. Worth knowing first: realtor activity is not state-licensed in Ukraine, and the binding legal steps in a sale, notarization and registration, are done by a notary, not the agent. So an agent is a marketing and coordination service, and you are free to compare several or to sell yourself. Here is where to find and compare them.
Where to find and compare agents in Ukraine
- DOM.RIA
The leading property portal also lists agencies and realtors alongside owner listings, so you can see who is active in your city and compare their current listings before you contact them.
- Rieltor.ua
Part of the LUN group, focused on agency and realtor listings, useful for finding agents working in a specific district and comparing the homes they represent.
- OLX.ua
Agencies and individual realtors post on the country's largest classifieds site, so it is a quick way to find local agents, though you will need to sort agency posts from owner posts.
- Local agency networks
Established city agencies advertise across the portals above and their own sites. Compare at least two or three, check recent sales and references, and confirm the contract terms and commission before committing.
How to choose a good one
Because there is no state license to rely on, judge an agent on track record and terms rather than a credential. Ask how many similar homes in your area they have sold recently and for references. Read the contract before signing: check whether it is exclusive (which ties you to one agency), how long it runs, and exactly what the commission is and who pays it. In Ukraine the commission is usually paid by the buyer and is not regulated, commonly around 2 to 5 percent, so confirm the number and the payer in writing. A reputable agent will also work through the notary for the closing, which is where your legal safety actually sits.
