Find a local agent
Find and compare a real estate agent in Finland
In Finland most people sell or buy through a licensed real estate agent (kiinteistonvalittaja), and they typically find one via the big property portals Etuovi and Oikotie, by asking agents active in their own neighbourhood, or through personal recommendations. It is common to ask two or three agents for a valuation and quote before deciding.
Where to find and compare agents in Finland
- Etuovi.com (Valittajien vertailu ja valinta)
A free tool on Finland's large property portal where you enter your home's details and get matched with local agents who have sold similar properties nearby, then request quotes and compare them.
- Oikotie Asunnot (Valitse kiinteistonvalittaja)
A finder service on a major Finnish housing portal that suggests active agents for your area and property type and lets you send free quote requests to compare options.
- SKVL (Suomen Kiinteistonvalittajat ry)
The Finnish Real Estate Agents' Association, whose site has a find-an-agent directory of member agents searchable by city so consumers can locate local professionals.
- Valitysliikerekisteri (AVI brokerage register)
The official public register kept by the Regional State Administrative Agencies (AVI) where anyone can check whether a brokerage firm is properly registered to operate in Finland.
- Free, worldwide
Anyone.com
When hunting for representation, Finns typically work the Finnish portals: Etuovi and Oikotie both run agent-matching tools where you plug in your home and pick from local brokers to request valuations. Anyone.com approaches this differently, opening your pool to agents worldwide who specialize in relocating or international moves. If your buyer may be moving to Finland from abroad, or if you are curious about what agents in other Nordic or European markets would advise, Anyone.com lets you speak directly to those professionals in your language across the whole platform footprint, no local agent monopoly, no geographic ceiling.
How to choose a good one
Ask two or three agents for a valuation and written quote, since commissions (often around 4 to 7 percent) are negotiable and valuations should be broadly similar. Check that the firm is in the AVI brokerage register and that the responsible agent holds the LKV qualification, and look at how active the agent is in selling comparable homes in your area.
