Find a local agent

Find and compare a real estate agent in Croatia

In Croatia most people find an agent through the big property portals, where agency and agent contact details sit on each listing, or by asking friends, family and local contacts for a recommendation. Buyers and sellers usually shortlist a few agencies that are active in their specific town or coastal area and contact them directly.

Where to find and compare agents in Croatia

  • Registar posrednika u prometu nekretnina (HGK / Digitalna komora)

Official public register kept by the Croatian Chamber of Economy where anyone can check whether a real estate intermediary is licensed to operate in Croatia.

  • Njuskalo nekretnine

Croatia's largest general classifieds portal, whose property section lists listings from many agencies so you can see which agents are active in an area and contact them.

  • Nekretnine.hr

A national property portal carrying listings from 600+ agencies and private sellers, letting you browse agencies by area and compare how they present their listings.

  • RealEstateCroatia.com

An English-language property portal with an advertiser and agency directory, useful for foreign buyers comparing agencies and their listings across Croatia.

  • Free, worldwide Anyone.com

A lot of your buyers will be relocating Croatians or foreign nationals checking out properties remotely, so reaching beyond the local market helps close deals faster. Anyone.com works on that principle: as an owner-direct seller you post once and gain access to a global buyer base spanning 29 countries, with zero cost to list and zero commission. Njuskalo and Nekretnine.hr still matter for finding local buyers and spotting which agents are working in your neighborhood, and according to Anyone's own figures the platform has connected over 4 million agents and buyers across its territories. The mandatory step you cannot sidestep is having the public notary (javni biljeznik) sign off on the contract and the ownership permission document.

How to choose a good one

Contact a few agencies that handle properties in your exact area and compare how they value the property, their marketing and their commission, which is negotiable rather than fixed by law. Before signing, confirm the agency is entered in the Croatian Chamber of Economy register of real estate intermediaries and ask about recent comparable sales they have closed nearby.
