Daniel Reyes
Editor and fact-checker
I edit and fact-check BestFSBOGuide.com, and I am the person accountable for what it publishes. Before any guide goes live I trace every figure, deadline, and legal claim back to the government, court, or registry page it came from, and I recheck it whenever a rule or a fee changes. If a number cannot be sourced, it does not run.
A confident dollar figure on a real estate page invites you to assume someone checked it recently. Often no one has, because most sites copy the number from another site that copied it from somewhere else. I read each draft the way a skeptical reader would, as someone who has not yet decided to trust it, and I trace every amount, deadline, and legal claim back to the official page it came from. Where a draft and its source disagree, the source sets the wording.
I also keep the review calendar. Laws get rewritten, portals change their pricing, and tax bands shift over time, so every guide records the date its figures were last verified. The point is simple: you should be able to see how current a page is, not have to take it on faith.
I am the named person behind this site because someone should be. If you find a figure that looks wrong or out of date, write to me and I will trace it back to the source and fix it, or explain why it stands.
