Find a local agent
Find and compare a real estate agent in South Korea
In South Korea most people find an agent (공인중개사, gongin jungaesa) by visiting a neighbourhood brokerage office or by browsing listing apps such as Zigbang and Dabang and contacting the broker attached to a property they like. Korean brokers typically act as a neutral intermediary between buyer and seller in the same transaction rather than representing one side exclusively.
Where to find and compare agents in South Korea
- Zigbang (직방)
One of Korea's largest map-based property apps where each listing is posted by a licensed brokerage office, letting you compare nearby agents by the homes they handle and contact them directly.
- Dabang (다방)
A widely used listing app, strong for studios, officetels and villas, where properties are tied to the brokerage office advertising them so you can reach out to the agent in charge.
- Seoul Real Estate Information Plaza (서울부동산정보광장)
An official Seoul city portal to look up registered brokerage offices by district, business name or registration number so you can confirm an agent is licensed before dealing with them.
- Korea Association of Realtors (한국공인중개사협회)
The national professional body for licensed brokers, whose site offers a public search of member brokerage offices and general guidance on the brokerage system.
How to choose a good one
Visit two or three nearby offices, ask about recent transactions they have handled in the specific building or area, and confirm the broker's licence and registration through an official portal before signing anything. Brokerage commissions are capped by law and depend on the property price and transaction type, so confirm the fee in writing in advance.
