Find a local agent
Find and compare a real estate agent in Denmark
Most Danes selling a home start by comparing local ejendomsmæglere on the national housing portals Boligsiden and Boliga, which publish each agency's sales record, and many also look for the MDE membership mark of the Danish estate agents' association. Sellers commonly invite two or three agents to value the property and pitch before signing.
Where to find and compare agents in Denmark
- Boligsiden - Find ejendomsmægler
The agent-finder on Denmark's main housing portal lists local mæglere and lets you sort by number of sales, average sale time, and price reductions, with customer ratings for the past 12 months.
- Boliga - Mæglerguide
A comparison guide covering Danish agencies down to postal-code level, showing key figures such as sales volume, time on market, and price discounts alongside buyer and seller ratings.
- Dansk Ejendomsmæglerforening - Find medlem
The Danish estate agents' association lets you search its members (agents carrying the MDE quality mark), who are bound by the association's rules and complaint procedures.
- CVR - Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister (datacvr.virk.dk)
Denmark's official public business register, run by the Danish Business Authority, where you can look up an agency or check that a person holds the protected registered title of ejendomsmægler.
How to choose a good one
Invite two or three local agents to value your home and compare their proposed price, marketing plan, fee, and tie-in period, since commission and contract terms are negotiable. Check each agent's recent sales in your area and verify they hold the protected ejendomsmægler title in the official register before signing.
